My life in numbers
20th May 2017
Today has been about finishing the Financial Disclosure Statement whilst the children were having a “Granny Day” in the park and baking cakes.
Now it’s completed, it’s been a fascinating exercise to think about what I spend each week…and even more so to consider the extra costs such as the annual TV licence or petrol for trips to visit family.
I’m reassured that the form prompted me to allow some spending money “for me” so that I can buy clothes or go out for a glass of wine occasionally. Without feeling guilty, which is so important. It will be interesting to see what James includes as his social outgoings – I suspect that he spends far more than I do on a night out.
Now to package up my documentation and send these off to SA Law with the form. Completing this form really feels like a huge step forward – I’m feeling really positive that I’m managing my future and that James and I can agree an amicable division of assets. My life is changing but I can handle this.
